NYC TOUR UPDATE
Much to all our disappointment, I have to tell you that we will not travel in 2020.This leads us to refunds, deposits and how NYC worked this out for us.
Many of the vendors in NYC operate with non-refundable deposits. Almost 50% of travelers who cancelled during the quarantine of the pandemic lost money. The only 100% refund we had was the Broadway shows. The airline, hotel, studios and charter busses all kept a deposit that totaled $594 per traveler.
On a positive note, these deposits are not lost, they can be used for future travel throughout the coming year 2021 by the Lincoln Theatre Guild Group. These are NOT individual credits however I will divide them as such at this time. The rest of the money will be coming back to the Guild. This is where we need you to decide what you want to do with it.
We have a couple options and some information for everyone.
You will need to fill out this form to let me know what you want to be done.
I’m available to answer any questions you may have at this point before you make your decision. I do hope that you’ll all try to stay on for next year. Seniors, we’ll miss you and I’ll be in touch!

- Leave your NYC Tour money safely riding in the Theatre Guild Tour account until next summer when we plan to travel again.
- Your tour credit of $594 will be easily applied to your trip and providing show tickets and rates don’t go up, your tour will be paid in full.
- Request a refund of your tour payments indicating you do not want to travel in Summer 21.
- Thus forfeiting the deposit credit of $594. If you had insurance, you can claim this part.
- There is NO way to get the deposit back on an individual basis. Please do not push this.
- Class of 2020 Seniors: Your parent will be contacted individually. Use the form to get me a valid email address.
- Outstanding Balance: There were 6 people who were not fully paid and the Guild covered them at an expense of $4000.
- If you wish to travel summer of 21, payments will need to continue as soon as you can.
- If you want a refund, what you owed on the trip will be deducted from the tour total as well as the forfeited $594.
- Everyone will be encouraged to buy their own travel insurance once we have new dates to avoid losing it all should something happen. Even 75% of the tour credit is better than nothing.
