I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE!

National Theatre at Home:
Frankenstein
THURSDAY APRIL 30, 1:00 PMLIVE CHAT IN THE REVIEW BAND.

Filmed live in 2011 from the stage of the National Theatre in London, this thrilling, sold-out production became an international sensation, experienced by more than 800,000 people in cinemas around the world.

Directed by Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire), this production of Frankenstein sees Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Hamlet, Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Trainspotting) alternating between the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creation.Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.

This filmed performance is recommended for ages 12 and up. This recording has been adjusted for YouTube.

Streaming from 7pm Thursday 30 April.

Available until May 7Watch on YouTube.

Create an Open Scene Script
Review: Open scripts are vague lines between two characters that we know nothing about. It would be up to the actors using the script and interpreting the lines to make it work. We will use these next week for performances.

Write a short open scene that can be used next week for a performance.
Using Character A and Character B
Keep the lines vague and open
Type up and post your script here.
10-16 lines so they are not too long.
Post your script in the comments section of this assignment.

TUESDAY'S ROLL CALL RESULTS
April 21
Drama 1 - 34% - really, you can do better.
Drama + - 40% - seriously, wake up.
Tech - 48% - not even half.
BITCO - 100% - dedicated actors connected to their peers!

Great job BITCo! Checking in and posting a picture literally takes seconds and bonds you to your classmates. It's step one, next, try one of the tasks that are being assigned. If you dedicate a minimum of an hour a week to every class you're in, you can keep your brain from dying. 5 - 6 hours a week when you used to do 30 isn't that big of a request. TRY! DO RIGHT!

I'm still here until June 1! I won't give up, why did you?

TECH PLACEMENTS FOR 20-21

We are getting ready for next year. I anticipate that classes are going to smaller and more competitive to get into.

To make sure that you are included on the rosters on day one, please fill out the tech application form in the link below. ANYONE WHO IS IN CLASS NOW AND WANTS TO BE IN CLASS NEXT YEAR NEEDS TO FILL OUT THE FORM. I also want to point out that moving into the advanced level of tech is my decision based on appropriate criteria and not just the "next" class.
